Allyson Singel Aldous focuses her heath care practice on health care transactions and regulatory compliance. Allyson assists a variety of health care institutions on the issues having an impact on their operations. As a member of the health care practice group, Allyson has represented clients of all sizes, including health systems and hospitals, long-term care and assisted living facilities, home health and hospice providers, durable medical equipment companies and physician groups.
Allyson has represented clients in all phases of complex transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other affiliations. She advises clients on regulatory and reimbursement issues, including analysis and advocacy under the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act and EMTALA.
Allyson also represents health care clients in licensure and accreditation matters, contract drafting, review and negotiation, medical staff and peer review matters, and patient care questions. She has represented organizations of varying sizes on issues affecting non-profit organizations and tax-exemption. Allyson also assists on financing transactions and general corporate matters.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Allyson worked for two years for the American Cancer Society. There she worked with local businesses and volunteers to organize community events and implement public health initiatives.
Allyson was a 2007 summer associate in Buchanan's Pittsburgh office and a summer associate in 2006 at another Pittsburgh-based law firm.
