Alexis Langella focuses her practice on a wide range of healthcare-related services, including litigation, regulatory and compliance matters. Alexis has experience counseling clients on complex regulatory/compliance issues, conducting internal investigations of fraud and abuse, developing policies and procedures, and conducting employee training on a variety of issues that face her healthcare clients. Alexis provides guidance on HIPAA and privacy laws, investigates and responds to data security incidents and breaches, and serves as a member of the firm’s Data and Security Task Force.
Alexis also represents long-term care providers, assisted living facilities, continuing care retirement communities, physicians, nurses, administrators and urgent care centers in professional liability litigation, where she routinely navigates e-discovery issues and defends against corporate negligence claims. With a hybrid practice and experience in both litigation and compliance, Alexis represents her clients' interests across a broad spectrum.
During her 10 years of practice, she has partnered with numerous healthcare, senior care and nonprofit organizations. Her work includes:

Prior to joining Buchanan, Alexis gained valuable experience in mass tort and pharmaceutical litigation as counsel for the largest generic drug manufacturer. She also gained experience in various realms of civil defense litigation, defending clients through all aspects of the case, including at arbitrations, mediations and settlement negotiations,.
Alexis was selected to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2015, 2017 and 2018.
Upon receiving her law degree, Alexis served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Paul Innes, Presiding Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Division, in Mercer County.
