Alex Gapihan, an associate in Buchanan's Philadelphia office, wrote a column in The Legal Intelligencer, about the importance of using feedback for one's professional growth - especially as related to minority and women attorneys who are less likely to seek such feedback. Gapihan offers a simple framework for feedback, noting that "All associates (and lawyers in general) should get into the habit of seeking regular informal feedback, in addition to taking advantage of formal feedback processes. Yet the professionals who are in a position to offer the most helpful feedback also tend to be busy. The following framework aims to simplify the feedback-seeking process for both associates and their evaluators."
